Larry was a prince among men and a blessing to many through the depth of his character. I often looked to him for advice through the years, and never failed to come away all the better for it. I am grateful to God for his life and example. Our deepest sympathies to all his family and loved ones, friends, and co-workers.

My deepest and most sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Larry Davis whom I have known for the past 30 years. He was a great man, a great law enforcement officer and I am truly honored to have known him as a friend. He was a man of honor, courage, strength, wisdom, character, and last but certainly not least, he was a man of faith, the foundation of who he was. He was called home early and unexpectedly

I was very saddened to hear of Larry's passing. He will be greatly missed by me and many others. He always said hello when our paths crossed and took the time to help me when I called. I feel fortunate to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

It is with great sadness that I learned from my dad, Albert Vineyard, that Mike had passed away suddenly.

Mike or Mr. Davis as I called him when he was my RA director when I was in 11th & 12th grades at Sherwood Baptist. The lessons I learned from Mike have stuck through my college years and on into my adult life.

Mike was also very special to my parents. Mike got up at 3:00 AM to take them to the airport

Mike always had a smile on his face and kind words to say as he took the time to talk with me at different occasions when our two families were together. His life was way to short and I will miss him. Love Elaine

Mike was many things to many people, but to me he was Pops. He was the best granddaddy a little girl could ever have. I love you Pops! Shelbie

Our lives have been so enriched in knowing Mike and having him in our family. He was truly a loving, Christian man and it was evident in the life he lived. Mike loved his family and this love reached out to his extended family and friends. He will be missed by many. Our prayers are with Patti, the children and the much loved granddaughter. May God lay His loving hand upon your shoulders and give you the comfort you need at this time.

Love, Jarrell and Celeice

Mike was a wonderful inspiration to all of us in our youth at Southside Baptist Church in Columbus, GA. Even at a young age, he inspired us to live a Christ centered life. I will always remember teaching Children's Church with him. I am sure that he became a wonderful father. I am heartbroken to hear of his untimely passing. I know that he will be sorely missed. My heartfelt love and condolences go out to Patti and the family. My prayer is God's loving arms to embrace you during this difficult time.
