Sorry to hear of the passing of Coach Satterfield, he was a great teacher I had him in Biology in 68' and he was the best...learned a lot. He was very dedicated and he enjoyed his work and his students knew it and we learned a lot from him. My deepest sympathy to the family he will be truly missed.

Jean and family;

So sorry to hear about Bill. So many fond memories of you and Bill "chaperoning" church trips. Bill was a true Christian man. He loved his family, his church and his God! He was a good man! Please know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God Bless, Debbie

Every time I worked I always looked forward to Thursdays when Bill would come to river pointe to play golf. He always had a smile on his face and an upbeat attitude about everything. Even after he was diagnosed and had his first surgery I never saw him not smiling. Bill was on of those few people who always saw the glass half full no matter what was going on in his life. I will speak on behalf of everyone who knew Bill and say he will truly be missed.

My memories of Bill go back to Jr. High School. I remember an incident where Bill had been picked on by one of the school bullies. In that day Coach Cook would allow us to square off after lunch with gloves, and settle our differences. To make a long story short Bill wore out this guy. When it was over I asked Bill where did he learn to fight like that and he advised that his dad had taught him how to defend himself.(Mr. Satt. was also a special person to me.).
Bill and I played baseball together for Post 30 American Legion. He was fast as greased lightning on the bases. I'm sure that was because of his track background. When Bill graduated from Ga. he taught and coached baseball at Dougherty High School. He asked me to help him which I was very happy to do. I don't remember much about the season. I do remember that Ray Knight played on that team.
Bill was a go to guy in what ever you asked him to do. He was a driving force behind all of our high school reunions.
Bill will be missed. I thank God that he is free of pain and in the hands of the Father.
