CPO Arnold F. Soley, Jr. USN (Ret.) 78, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Willson Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10:00AM at Kimbrell-Stern. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 7:00PM until 9:00PM at Kimbrell-Stern. Interment will be held at Andersonville National Cemetery at 12:00 Noon following the service. Rev. Bryan Haynes will officiate.

A native of Waterville, WA, Mr. Soley was retired from the US Navy with 20 years of service including the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He retired from Proctor and Gamble after 19 years as well as the City of Albany after 5 years. Arnold taught computer classes at Albany Vocational School/Albany Technical College. He loved music, books and computers. He was of the Lutheran faith.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold F. Soley, Sr. and Dorothy Moody Soley.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Betty Jean Soley of Albany, a daughter, Leigh Soley Mathis and her husband, Rusty, of Leesburg, GA, a son, Arnold F. Soley III and his partner, Tera Dodson of Chesapeake, VA, step children, Sara Louise Fields and her husband, Les, of Covington, LA, Scott Holt and his wife, Evon, Keith Holt and his wife, Ann and Lisa Holt Hood all of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters, Lynne DeKeyser and her husband, Dave, of DePere, WI and Barbara Bergeron of Seattle, WA, 11 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
