Mr. Don "Donzer" Stalvey, 58 of Albany died Friday June 13, 2014 at his residence.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday 11AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Jack Lewis will be officiating.
Born in Macon, GA to Sanford and Lillian Stalvey, Mr. Stalvey lived in Albany most of his life where he retired as a photographer from the Albany Herald after 33 years of service. He was also the owner of Stalvey Photography after his retirement. Mr. Stalvey graduated from Dougherty High School and attended Albany Junior College. He was a Christian.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Patrick "Kirk' Stalvey.
. Survivors include his wife Sylvia M. Stalvey of Albany; a daughter Meloney Stalvey Harrod of Albany; a son Mark Moree Stalvey and his wife Brittany of Leesburg; two sisters Cathy Ashberry and her husband Brad of Albany; Lisa Shumake and her husband Rod of Albany; a brother Ron Stalvey of Albany; five grandchildren Mayson Stalvey, Marley Stalvey, Keegan Harrod, Kylee Harrod, and Kelsea Harrod. He loved his pets and cherished their companionship throughout the years, Shelby, Tator and Oscar and most recently Aiden Tech.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
