Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Stewart, 90, of Albany, Georgia passed away at home September 13, 2014.

Betty was born in Breslau, Pennsylvania in 1924 to Andrew and Helen Beshada. She graduated from Hanover Memorial High School in 1942. She enlisted in the Navy and while serving met William C. (Bill) Stewart whom she married in 1947. Betty was a full time home maker and mom. While spending most of their time in Northern Virginia, she and her family spent many years in Germany. Prior to moving to Albany, Betty and Bill "wintered" in Ft. Myers, Florida and "summered" in Fredricksburg, VA

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her son William C. Jr. (Jay), her brother Andy Beshada and sisters, Millie Galaida and Anne DeBronsky.

Betty is survived by her daughters Debbie and husband, Doug Naquin, of Ashburn, Virginia; Patty and husband, Ron Underdahl, of Albany, Georgia, and Helen and husband, Jim Banks, of Calabasas, California; grandchildren, Kelly and husband, Aaron Powell, of Oceanside, CA; Ronnie Underdahl, of Los Angeles CA; Brian Underdahl, and wife Samantha, of Miami FL; Kaely Davis, of Richmond, Virginia; Julie Naquin, of Ashburn, VA and great grandchildren Gavin and Abigail Powell.

Betty enjoyed bingo, bowling, cooking, and caring for her family.

Funeral services will be held later this fall as she is interred alongside her husband Bill at Arlington National Cemetery.
