Mr. Grady "Leon" Nolan, 80, of Albany died Monday July 7, 2014 at the Willson Hospice House.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday 11AM at Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin, GA. Dr. Don Yarborough will be officiating.

Born Feb 28, 1934, Mr. Nolan moved to Albany in 1968 and worked for Firestone until it closed. He was a member of Avalon United Methodist Church. Mr. Nolan volunteered at Phoebe and The Albany Police Department.

Mr. Nolan was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Korean and Vietnam War. During a tour of England he met and married his wife Joan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.

Survivors include his wife Joan Nolan of Albany; a daughter Kim Bruner and her husband Andy of Marietta, GA; a son Bobby Nolan and his wife Sheryl of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren Jessica Bruner of Vidalia, GA; Eric Bruner of Marietta, GA; Christopher Nolan of Tampa, FL; Casey and Corey Nolan of Alpharetta, GA; a sister Betty McKneely of Griffin, GA; brothers Kenneth Nolan of Griffin, GA and Guyles Nolan of Brandon, MS.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
