Mrs. Katherine T. Martin, 90 of Beattie Rd. in Albany died March 24, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral service will be Thursday 2:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. Rev. Cathy Green officiating. Entombment will follow at Crown Mausoleum.
A native of Alexander City, AL Mrs. Martin has lived in Albany since 1954 where she was a member of Putney United Methodist Church and was retired from Georgia Power Company at Plant Mitchell. She also served as a "Pink Lady" at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and loved gardening and planting flowers in her yard.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Haskell Hair Martin, Jr., a son, Drew Martin and two sisters, Louise T. Beard and Betty Ruth Perry.
Survivors include her son, Sonny Martin and his wife Cheryl of Albany and daughter, Kathy Henderson and her husband Gary of Augusta, GA, grandchildren, Victoria Henderson, John Henderson, Haskell Martin, IV, Elizabeth Hall, Matthew Martin, Christi Karimi, Jenni Pate, Tommy Pate, Jeff Pate, Kellie Morris and Rick Dupree, 11 great-grandchildren, sister, Norma Jean White of Rock Hill, SC.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
