Kendall Willard Prince, died Friday, January 31, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA at the age of 80. Funeral services will be held, Monday, February 3, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00-4:00 PM, February 3, 2014 at Kimbrell-Stern. Reverend Roy Cook will officiate.
Mr. Prince was born in Spence, Georgia on March 9, 1933. He later moved to Albany, GA. He was co-partner of J.K. Prince & Sons Construction Company in Albany, GA. Honorably discharged from the U. S Navy , served on the Board Of Directors at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, lifetime member of the Exchange Club of Albany, Ga, served on the Albany Planning Commission, was on the Board of Riverview Academy, President of Pinnacle Port Condominiums in Panama City Beach FL, served as a Deacon of First Baptist Church in Albany, Founder of Power Squadron Club in Albany, GA.
Mr. Prince graduated from Georgia Tech Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering. Avid bird and big game hunter and expert off shore fisherman. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include wife Bertha Petty Prince of Albany ,GA , four children and their spouses, Cynthia Prince Thompson, (husband Mike Thompson) Leesburg, GA, Robin Prince Warner Robins, GA , Sandra Prince Elmore,( husband Mike Elmore) Leesburg, GA , and son Gary Prince, (wife Wendy Prince) Leesburg, GA . Grandchildren: Jason Prince, Kelly Prince, Kevin Prince, Chris Elmore, Quinton Elmore, Nathan Elmore, Matthew Prince, Benjamin Prince , and Anna Prince. Brother: John Wendall Prince. Great- Grandchildren: Nicholas Pollard and Chandler Pollard all of Lee County.
He was preceded in death by his father John Kendall Prince and his mother Myrtis Jackson Prince also of Albany, Georgia.
