Mrs. Laverne Stewart, 89 of Albany died July 25, 2014 at Palmyra Nursing Home in Albany.
Funeral services will be Sunday July 27, 3:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. The Rev. Deacon Joy Davis officiating. Interment will be private Monday July 28, 2014 at Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Crisp Co. GA, Mrs. Stewart lived her early years in Lee County, GA, where she graduated from Lee County High School. Most her life was lived in Albany where she was a member of Gillionville Baptist Church and retired from Belk Department Store. Mrs. Stewart loved gardening, was a compassionate animal lover, and will always be remembered for the love she gave to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas Monroe and Johnnie Lynn Hamilton Williamson, brothers, Ellison Williamson, Gardner Williamson, sister, Wynell Hancock and her son-in-law, Ross Juneau.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Juneau Childers, and her husband Robert of Albany and Elaine Pike and her husband Tom of Albany, grandchildren, Andy Pike and his wife Christina, Charlie Ellis and her husband T.J., Kevin Juneau and his wife Kristi, Ryan Juneau and Steven Juneau, great-grandchildren, Alexis Ellis, Olivia Pike and Emmet Ross Juneau and sisters-in-law, Sallie and Edna Williamson.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Kimbrell-Stern.
