A native of Bladon Springs, AL, Mrs. Cook was born April 6, 1920 to the late Samuel Kervin and Lobelia Holcombe Miller. She has lived in Albany since 1970 where she was a member and Sunday school teacher at First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Hawke Sunday School class and U.M.W. Mrs. Cook was a retired educator with 32 years of service in Lee, Telfair and Jeff Davis Counties as teacher. In her early years Mrs. Cook traveled by covered wagon on the farm to her most recent travels to Europe by Airplane. Her values in life were faith, family and education. These same values are perpetuated through her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Cook loved her grandchildren, was an avid gardener (especially daylilies), awesome cook, die hard Brave's fan and huge animal lover. She will always be remembered as an affectionate person, never judgmental and never angered.
