Mrs. Ronnie Kirbo Brooks, 81, of Baconton, GA, died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at her home.

Her funeral service will be 2 PM on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow at Mt. Enon Cemetery, Baconton, GA. The Rev. Roy Cook will officiate.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Hopeful, GA, and had lived in Albany since 1962, then moving to Baconton in 2008. She graduated from Camilla High School in 1950. Mrs. Brooks served on the Board of Trustees and worked as the bookkeeper at Riverview Academy in the 1970's. Following that, she was a Vice-President at DOCO Federal Credit Union. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Central Baptist Church, and she was active in the Albany Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband: Robert "Bob" Brooks, Jr., Baconton; daughter: Leslie Brooks Brisendine (Joe), Conyers, GA; sons: Robert Brooks, III (Marilee), Perry, GA, Frank Brooks (Gina), Baconton, Kevin Brooks (Jill), Alma; grandchildren: Joe Brisendine, J. B. Brisendine, Ashley Brooks Graham, Anna Brooks, Robert Brooks, IV, Marren Brooks, Benjamin Brooks, Bill Bowles, II, Lauren Bowles Tabb (Cody); great grandchildren: Tripp Graham, Avery Tabb, Bristol Tabb; sister: Nona McCranie, Albany; brother: W. W. Kirbo (Mary Florence), Camilla.

The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 5-7 PM.
