Mrs. Walter Mae Pollock, 95 of Albany died Mar 20, 2014 at Magnolia Manor in Americus, GA.
Funeral service will be held Saturday 4:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Mr. Doug Haught, minister will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service at Kimbrell-Stern.
Born in Leslie, GA Mrs. Pollock lived in Albany since 1938 where she retired from Sears and Roebuck after serving 30 years. She was a member of Beattie Rd. Church of Christ and loved to travel and fish in Florida with her husband. Mrs. Pollock also loved to playing cards and Domino's with her social group from church and loved to Cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Pollock, a daughter Della Parrish, great-grandson Luke Bliss and brother James T. Jordan.
She is survived by two daughters Ann Bliss and her husband Dwight "Bucky" of Americus; Jamie Farmer of Albany; a brother William G. Jordan and his wife Frances of Dawson, GA; two grandchildren Lisa McMichael and her husband Allen of Dublin, GA; Trey Bliss and his wife Cheri of Athens, GA; a son in law Orville Parrish; 5 great-grandchildren Bliss McMichael, Blair McMichael, Audrey Bliss, Brooke Bliss and Anna Grace Bliss.
