Mr. Clifford Jones Deriso, 89, of Acworth, formerly of Albany, died Saturday, July 14, 2012.
His funeral service will be Tuesday 2 PM at Sherwood Baptist Church with interment in Leslie Cemetery, Leslie, GA. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6 to 8 PM at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors.
A native of Leslie, Mr. Deriso had lived in Albany since 1950 and was the co-owner and operator of Albany Propane. He was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church, American Legion Post 30, V.FW. Post 2785 and the Past President of the Woodman of the World. Mr. Deriso was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Martha Kate Owen Deriso; daughters, Phyllis Deriso Morrow, Anita Deriso Saunders (John); granddaughters, Erin Morrow, Shannon Saunders Shipta (Tim); great grandson, Tyler Shipta all of Acworth; brother Eugene Tallmadge Deriso, McAllen, TX.
