Mrs. Dorothy Ford Bowen, 80 of Fulmer Dr. in Albany died February 19, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be Friday 11 AM at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Dr. William D. (Biff) Coker and Rev. Tim Olds officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, GA. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
A native of Worth Co., GA Mrs. Bowen has lived in Albany since 1966 where she was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and was retired from the Dougherty County School System with 25 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Wendell Bowen of Albany, daughters, Wendy Bowen Maxwell and her husband Mark of Denver, CO and Anne Marie Bowen Wilson and her husband Scott of Suwanee, GA, granddaughters, Mary Ruth Mykyten and Kathryn Anne Mykyten both of Denver, CO, sisters, Ruth Ford Pierce of Los Gatos, CA and Doris Ford Page and her husband Gene of LaGrange, GA and several nieces and nephews.
