A native of Calhoun County Mr. Davis had lived in Albany most of his life and was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church, Sojourners Sunday School Class, Golden K Kiwanis Club and the Telephone Pioneers. Mr. Davis supported blood drives with the American Red Cross on a regular basis.
Survivors include 2 sons, Lynn A. Davis, Jr. and his wife Sherry of Sylvester and Russell D. Davis and his wife Ann of Terrell County, four grandchildren, Lynn A Davis, III and his wife Suzanne, Katherine Davis Poer, Russell Dee Davis, Jr. and Emily Rebekah Davis, two great-grandchildren, Morgan Elizabeth Davis and Curt Poer, Jr. and a aunt Verna Chesnutt of Albany Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Shumate Davis.
