Mrs. Marianne Smith Marbury, 87, of Albany died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Willson Hospice House.
Her funeral service will be Wednesday 2 PM at First United Methodist Church with a private interment to follow. Dr. Don Adams, Dr. Donald M. Kea and Dr. Robert Beckham will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 1 to 2 PM at First United Methodist Church and will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John Marbury 1612 Orchard Dr.
A lifelong resident of Albany, Mrs. Marbury was a 1943 graduate of Albany High School and a graduate of Mercer University where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She was a member of First United Methodist Church the Jr. League of Albany and the National Society of Colonial Dames. Mrs. Marbury taught school and worked with her late husband Felix G. Marbury.
Survivors include her sons, Felix G. Marbury, Jr. and wife Carol, Lee County, John T. Marbury and wife Carol; grandchildren, Lovic Marbury and wife Lou Ann, Albany, Leslie Marbury and husband Tommy Harrold, Pretoria, South Africa, Brian Marbury, Montgomery, AL, Tina Marbury, Albany; great grandchildren, Waylan Marbury, Skye Harrold, John Harrold; brother Jimbo Smith, Albany.
