Marvin Scott Tison, 63, of Albany, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 2:00PM at Kimbrell-Stern. Rev. Gail Cameron officiating.
A native of Albany, GA, Mr. Tison was an instructor at Turner Jobs Corps. He was married to his loving wife, Elmira for twenty six years, where she was a member of Morningside Methodist Church. Marvin was a member of VFW and was preceded in death by his parents, Furlow and Edna Tison.
Survivors include his wife, Elmira Tison, a son, Danny Robert Horne, a step daughter, Tammy Haglewood and her husband, Eric, a step son Wesley Horne and his wife, Gwen, all of Lee County, two sisters, Marveen Price and her husband, Ray of Doerun, GA and Harriett O'neal and her husband, Esco of Warwick, GA, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Kimbrell-Stern from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.
